로터스갤러리는 점묘 기법을 바탕으로 따뜻한 색채의 울림을 선보이는 김영진 작가의 개인전 〈Humming Garden in BUSAN〉 을 개최합니다.

이번 전시는 부산의 자연과 정서를 주제로, 일상의 빛과 계절의 리듬을 작가 특유의 세밀한 터치로 담아낸 신작들을 선보입니다. 수많은 점들이 모여 이루는 화면은 가까이에서는 세밀한 흔적의 결을, 멀리서는 한 폭의 따뜻한 서정으로 완성됩니다.

김영진 작가의 ‘정원’은 단순한 자연 풍경을 넘어, 기억과 감정이 교차하는 내면의 풍경이자 사색의 공간입니다. 작은 점 하나하나가 모여 만들어내는 색채의 하모니는 관람객에게 평온한 울림과 깊은 휴식을 선사합니다.

여러 삶의 기록 중 식물과 풍경을 관찰하며 느낀 생각과 경험을 회화작업에 응용하고 있습니다. 

회화의 아우라를 부정하진 않지만 그림을 그린다는 것이 철학을 기반으로 삼지 않더라도 단편적 메모가 쌓이듯 한 사람의 일대기를 축적하고 싶습니다.

 그래서인지 ‘이야기가 있는 풍경’ 연작에서의 영감을 얻은 ‘자유소색도’ 연작의 영감은 ‘도원의 꽃’ 연작으로 자연스럽게 스며드나봅니다.

 앞으로도 고정된 이야기보다는 작가의 태도 즉, 끊임 없이 연구하는 또는 연구 해야하는 오늘날 우리 시대가 요구하는 유미주의를 심도있게 살펴보려 합니다.
